Upgrade your piston-powered aircraft with an advanced engine indication system (EIS) that offers detailed real-time data to help you better manage your engine operation and protect your investment.
PRIMARY EIS CAPABILITIES: With an installed interface module and sensors, the TXi EIS system serves as an all-in-one primary display for piston-engine aircraft — so you can remove outdated analog gauges.
ENGINE GAUGES: Large, prominent engine gauges provide real-time indications with color-coded pointers and data bands that indicate normal operating ranges, cautions and exceedances.
POWER MANAGEMENT: Function gauges and indicators can include manifold pressure, RPM, fuel flow, oil pressure and fuel quantity-per-tank readouts — plus the option for a Percent Power readout. Bar gauges display numerical values for additional precision.
TEMPERATURE MONITORING: See cylinder head temperature and exhaust gas temperature (EGT) for each cylinder in your engine. EGT can be used as a basis for achieving the optimal fuel/air mixture for combustion.
LEAN ASSIST MODE: TXi EIS offers an easy-to-use lean assist mode. Once cruise power has been established, simply press the dedicated “Lean” button on the display, and select either rich of peak or lean of peak.
AUTOMATIC DATA LOGGING: To help you maintain control over aircraft maintenance and operating costs, your engine data, trend data and exceedance analysis data are automatically monitored and stored on an SD™ card within an EIS display.
STORE DATA ONLINE: If your TXi EIS system is paired with a Flight Stream 510 wireless gateway — either through an EIS-capable TXi display or GTN™ 750Xi or GTN 650Xi navigator — the data can be wirelessly transmitted to the Garmin Pilot app running on your compatible mobile device.
ANALYZE PERFORMANCE: Upon landing, EIS data can be uploaded for secure storage on the flyGarmin.com® website. The recorded data can be retrieved and used by your aircraft service technicians to identify performance issues or maintenance needs in time to help avert more costly repairs later.
FUEL QUANTITY: Display total fuel on board as well as fuel quantities for aircraft with up to 6 fuel tanks. TXi EIS is compatible with CiES fuel float sensors.
FUEL MANAGEMENT: In addition to standard fuel quantity gauges, the TXi EIS system offers you the ability to enter and display fuel management calculations based on the unit's integrated fuel computer. Quickly update your fuel quantity after refueling by using preset amounts and the "full fuel" and "fuel to tabs" buttons.
INTEGRATED FUEL COMPUTER: Once airborne, TXi EIS monitors fuel flow and GPS information to estimate how much fuel, range and flight time you have left at current settings — as well as how much fuel and endurance you’ll have left upon reaching your destination.
ELECTRICAL MONITORING: Monitor your aircraft’s electrical system, including display of the main bus voltage, alternator amperage and power load on the battery.
VACUUM GAUGE MONITORING: Add the vacuum-gauge option for aircraft that use vacuum-driven standby instruments and systems, such as de-ice boots.
