Stratus 3 ADS-B IN Receiver, by Appareo

Stratus 3 New Features

  • Stratus 3 has the same form-factor as the previous generation Stratus 2S, 2i, and 2
  • Compatible with all mounts, and has all the same cable connection types as Stratus 2S
  • Stratus 3 kit contents are similar to a Stratus 2S kit, but now with a gel dash mount in place of the suction cup mount

Open ADS-B Mode
Stratus 3 uses GDL-90 protocol and works with a variety of popular EFB's on both iOS and Android based platforms, such as ForeFlight, WingX, FltPlan Go, FlyQ, and more that are currently being tested.

Smart WiFi
This feature enables pilots to use 3G/4G LTE internet on their iPhone/iPad while still connected to Stratus 3.

Auto Shut-Off
To preserve battery, Stratus 3 automatically powers down after flight by detecting when it’s idle or at less than a 3D GPS lock.

Stratus 3 continues the line of the proven quality and best-selling ADS-B receivers on the market. As a reflection of Appareo's commitment to quality, the warranty for Stratus 3 has been upgraded to a 2-year warranty.

Stratus gives pilots easy situational awareness for an unbelievable price. It’s the simple-to-use, pocket-sized, portable wireless receiver that transforms your iPad into the ultimate flight tool. The newest model offers improved performance across the board, including better ADS-B reception, enhanced thermal capabilities, and a next generation power connector.

Comes with charging cable, 110V wall plug; charging cable works with all 2.0 amp cigarette lighter plugs as well and Stratus Pilot’s Guide. Physical Dimensions: 2.6″ w by 6″ d by 1.25″ h, weighs 9.7 oz.

Subscription-free in-flight weather
View in-flight weather on your iPad, including NEXRAD radar, METARs, TAFs, TFRs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, NOTAMs and more. And still no subscription fees—ever.

Built-in AHRS
Stratus 3 includes a complete Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) for supplemental attitude information in the cockpit. It aligns itself automatically, so you can just turn it on and fly. Pilots who use ForeFlight’s Synthetic Vision will experience a visually stunning and high-performance hazard awareness capability.

Note: AHRS data provided by Stratus should be used for supplemental purposes only. Stratus is not certified for IFR operations.

Dual-band ADS-B traffic
Stratus 3 includes a dual-band (978 MHz and 1090 MHz) ADS-B receiver and displays traffic information right on the ForeFlight Mobile Maps page. See your aircraft’s relative altitude, climb/descent rate and projected track.

8-hour battery
Even with all these features, Stratus remains totally wireless. With its 8-hour battery life, you can fly all day without bringing along a charging cable. Just turn on Stratus and go flying.
