When you first purchased your aircraft, it may have been brand new and looked amazing. After many flights, though, the logo decal may be looking a little worse for wear. If you want your plane to look like new again, replacing the logo decal can help. Chief Aircraft Inc. carries a huge selection of Moody Aerographic decals from multiple aircraft manufacturers.
The extreme conditions most planes are subjected to — such as sunlight, freezing temperatures, rain and snow — can cause wear and tear on the decals and logos on the exterior. If you notice the decals have faded or are starting to wear away, giving your aircraft a worn-out, tired appearance, it's time to replace them.
You don't want to put a new logo or decal on top of an old one. Instead, you first need to remove the old logo. A hand drill that's fitted with rubber erasing discs streamlines the removal process. After using the discs and drill to remove the logo, be sure to remove any residue.
Once the surface is clean, you can apply the new logo. Keep in mind that any rivets on the plane can be tricky to work around. If you have any questions about replacing your plane decals, talk to us.
